IntroductionUse high power semiconductor at 808nm to “pump” in an optical sense a crystal that produces light of a wavelength of 1064 nm. This light is then cast upon a duplicating crystal (LBO (triborate lithium)) to halve the wavelength of 1064 nm and obtain green light of 532 nm. This system of wavelength splitting allows the operator to control the emission of green light using very short pulses.
