Product Overview:The DST CTD Data Storage Tag is the smallest CTD (Conductivity, Temperature, Depth) data logger on the market, designed for long-term tagging studies of fish and marine animals. It measures and records salinity, temperature, and depth, with a compact size of only 50 mm in length and 15 mm in diameter. The device is user-programmable, allowing flexible sampling intervals, and stores data with time stamps for each measurement. Data can be displayed in both graphical and tabular formats. Smallest CTD data storage tag on the market Long battery life - up to 5 years Depth sensors for shallow to deep ocean (150m, 500m, 1200m, 2400m) Tag holder kit for external fish tagging User defined text on the housing for recapture purposes Application:Designed as a fish archival tag for migration studies, the DST CTD enables scientists to gather valuable information on migration routes and behavioral patterns over extended periods. The tag is externally attached to the animal due to its salinity sensor, which consists of two conductivity cells. For mooring or subsea gear applications, a different model is available. Salinity and Conductivity:The DST CTD can capture conductivity from 2 to 68 mS/cm, with a low conductivity range of 0.1–6 mS/cm available for brackish water measurements. The suitable range depends on the expected minimum and maximum salinity and temperature in the deployment area. Depth Measurement:The tag can be calibrated for depths up to 2,400 meters (tolerance up to 2,500 meters), with options for shallower ranges. Ease of Use:The logger is supported by SeaStar software and a Communication Box (required for operation), making setup, data retrieval, and analysis straightforward. Programming allows for single or multiple sampling intervals (up to 7 different intervals), optimizing memory and battery life. After recapture, data is uploaded via the Communication Box, and the tag can be reused as long as the battery lasts. Accessories: Communication Box: Interface for connecting the DST to a PC for programming and data retrieval. SeaStar Software: For Windows, displays data graphically and in tables, and allows export to other programs. Plate Holder Kit: For external attachment, includes wire fasteners, plastic plates, and silicone pads for animal comfort. Capsule Holder Kit: Plastic capsule with holes for water flow, wire harness, and silicone pads for all logger sizes. Floating Device: Available in different sizes for internal or external tagging, can be coated or painted for visibility.
